Chadwick did get a standing count but he was well on top and the judges were right to not let a standing count totally over turn a fight that Chadwick was clearly on top of. The rules are ABA rulings meaning every punch counts, not just who gets a standing count or is closest to getting knocked out, or who is more aggressive. In pro boxing you can win a round landing half as many punches. This wasn't pro and the decision was a good one.

a great night. shame it was marred by controversy. has to be said, the decision on the 2nd middleweight fight was, quite frankly, wrong (captain marvel, not sure what u were watching but there was a standing 8…). most of the other cambridge fans i was sitting with agreed. sseg was hit by so many clean punches in the 3rd that it was impossible to count! i guess thats what u get in boxing sometimes! incidentally im a neutral from london.

i'd believe you if you whipped out ur ABA judges licence. oh and you were watching the wrong fight.. he didnt get a standing 8

Sseg coulda taken 2 standing 8's in the 3rd and it wouldnt have made a difference. every jab he threw in that last round hit the target.

either way, terrific viewing and the boys had hearts of lions out there. bring on VM104

The decision on the Chadwick fight was a travesty by any measure – he had a standing count against him! I understand the Oxford reaction.
