Remember Po-na-na (again not the best), but the late license was opposed by the university and it shut. Cambridge Arms - uni objected to it opening past 11, so it shut. There are more too, numerous proposals come before the powers that be, but all are vetoed by the all powerful being that runs the town with its ultra conservative agenda.

Don't forget its the university themselves that are largely to blame for the lack of variety that any normal town would have. A lot of Cam students seem to push this whole 'we work hard but we play even harder' image thing, and it just isn't true. Just because everyone forces alcohol down quick enough to be hammered by the end (if not the first hour) of the bop, and who could blame them. It just is a bit lame. I don't see anything ever changing anytime soon either. Best bet is head to one of the better nights at the junction (scruff is coming back soon) or get friends who like to do more than the same thing week after week.

Soul tree used to be alright when it first got going, just too expensive. So if you do not like it, go away!!

To be honest, I think Soul Tree is the best club in town. I'm a fourth year and have actually noticed that Cindies music (on a Wednesday that is) has actually got a lot better this year compared to the previous three.

Fez is just as hot, cramped and more expensive!
